ICESCO Calls for Global Partnership

Dr. Salim M. Al-Malik, Director-General (DG) of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) called on international organizations, government bodies, and associations working in the field of culture and arts to increase their coordination efforts. The goal is to develop a mutually agreed global artistic system on the role of art in building human civilization and spreading the values of peace.

Details of Programs and Activities of Year of Women 2021

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) will hold on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at its headquarters in Rabat, a face-to-face and virtual press conference for journalists and media professionals. The conference will announce the details of ICESCO’s programs and activities during 2021 as part of the celebration of the Year of Women, organized under the high patronage of H.M. King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

ICESCO PRIZE

Virtual Prize for Calligraphy, Patterns, and Miniatures

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) launched the “Virtual Prize for Calligraphy, Patterns and Miniatures” in celebration of the International Day of Islamic Art. Bahrain made the proposition and UNESCO adopted it at the 39th General Conference. The Day is observed every 18th of November. The application is open to all calligraphers and visual artists to discover their talents in calligraphy and pattern design using virtual tools and techniques. The aim is to promote talents and creativity in the field and ensure the sustainability of the intangible cultural heritage that all ICESCO Member States share.
